Books For Baby Boomer Women

BEING PERFECT by Anna Quindlen (Random House). A quick read about what success means, especially timely to read if you're approaching 50.
BOBBI BROWN LIVING BEAUTY by Bobbi Brown (Springboard Press). My favorite makeup artist just turned 50 and wrote a book about makeup for those 50+...a fabulous find.
EXCESS BAGGAGE by Judith Sills, Ph.D. (Penguin Books). A good book that makes you face the facts about your blind spots that make your life harder than it has to be.
I FEEL BAD ABOUT MY NECK AND OTHER THOUGHTS ON BEING A WOMAN by Nora Ephron (Knopf). A great book about aging from a great writer.
IS IT HOT IN HERE? OR IS IT ME? THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO MENOPAUSE by Pat Wingert and Barbara Kantrowitz (Workman). This looks like a good guide from Newsweek's women's health writers.
IT'S NOT HOW GOOD YOU ARE, IT'S HOW GOOD YOU WANT TO BE. The world's best-selling book by Paul Arden (Phaidon). A 20 minute read for those who are creative or dream of being creative in their 50+ years.
LEAP! WHAT WILL WE DO WITH THE REST OF OUR LIVES? by Sara Davidson (to be published in February 2007 by Random House) An excerpt from this book was featured in The Boomer Files in Newsweek on January 22, 2007
THE WISDOM OF MENOPAUSE by Christiane Northrup (Bantam). This book has lots of good information for those going through peri-and-men--oh-pause.
YOU'RE WEARING THAT? UNDERSTANDING MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS IN CONVERSATION by Deborah Tannen (Random House). The way mothers and daughters communicate impacts who we are no matter how old we are.
